STRUCTURED DESIGN // THREE-LEVEL TRAINING APPROACH

OUR TRAINING APPROACH

Our training begins with clear communication and progresses through obedience and real-world application. Each stage builds on the previous one, helping dogs develop reliable skills while teaching owners how to maintain them.

CONSISTENT STRUCTURE // CUSTOMIZED PROGRESS

OWNER
EDUCATION

WE DON’T JUST TRAIN DOGS.

WE TEACH OWNERS.

Successful dog training goes beyond teaching commands.

Owners need to understand how to communicate with their dogs, establish clear expectations, and reinforce training consistently.

Our private lessons emphasize hands-on instruction, giving owners the knowledge, confidence, and handling skills needed to maintain their dog’s progress outside of training sessions.

INDIVIDUALIZED
Private TRAINING

EVERY DOG IS DIFFERENT.

SO IS OUR APPROACH.

Every dog brings a different temperament, personality, learning style, and behavioral history to training.

We consider each dog’s individual characteristics, motivations, and challenges when developing an appropriate training approach.

Whether we’re working with a young puppy, building advanced obedience, or addressing reactivity and behavioral concerns, training is adapted to the individual dog and owner’s goals.

Our focus is on developing practical skills while helping owners better understand their dogs.

TRAINING IN
REAL ENVIROMNENTS

TRAINING THAT EXTENDS

BEYOND THE LESSON.

A dog that responds reliably at home may struggle when faced with distractions outside. That’s why training progresses into everyday environments where those skills matter.

Private lessons take place in clients’ homes, nearby parks, and other suitable locations based on their training goals.

From leash walking on busy sidewalks to maintaining obedience around other dogs and developing reliable recall, we help owners apply their training in practical, real-world situations.

Training MAINTENANCE is key to long term success

Our group classes are a continuation of your private training experience, designed to reinforce the skills, communication, and handling techniques you’ve developed throughout your lessons.

Classes provide a structured environment where dogs can practice obedience around other dogs, people, and real-world distractions. Rather than focusing on unstructured play, we emphasize controlled socialization, engagement, and maintaining reliable behavior in increasingly challenging situations.

Beyond reinforcing existing skills, group classes serve as a long-term training maintenance program, giving owners an opportunity to continue practicing, build consistency, and strengthen their dog’s obedience over time.

COMMON
INQUIRIES

We follow clear, practical protocols for every training step. If you have specific questions not covered here, please reach out directly to our lead trainer for detailed answers.

WHAT IS THE WEATHER POLICY FOR TRAINING SESSIONS?

Our outdoor sessions proceed in normal NYC weather, including light rain and winter conditions, helping your dog adapt to real-life city environments. For severe weather events—such as intense lightning, winds over 35 mph, or extreme temperature warnings—we relocate training to our climate-controlled North 11th Street studio to maintain comfort and safety.

WHICH IS BETTER: THE 3-MONTH OR 6-MONTH PROGRAM?

The 3-month Foundation program focuses on core skills like urban calmness, pedestrian manners, and effective leash control. The 6-month Comprehensive program builds on that foundation with advanced off-leash reliability, spatial awareness, and resilience to complex distractions throughout the city.

CAN YOU TRAIN DOGS WITH SEVERE URBAN REACTIVITY?

Absolutely. We carefully address strong leash reactivity and territorial behaviors through structured counter-conditioning and controlled exposure. Dogs with significant challenges start in low-distraction environments and gradually progress to busier urban spaces at a pace suited to their needs.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED FOR SESSIONS?

During your first assessment, we provide a standardized durable leash and training lead designed for consistent handling. Retractable leashes, fashion harnesses, and prong or shock collars are not permitted to ensure effective, humane training.

CAN MULTIPLE FAMILY MEMBERS JOIN TRAINING?

Yes. Consistency is key to success. We encourage all primary handlers and family members to participate in coaching sessions so commands and routines are uniformly reinforced at home.
